About Me

Have you taken the courageous step to seek counselling, but worry if your therapist will understand? Like really understand. Will they understand that your cultural values prioritized in your family differs from the western values you are growing up in? Will it be awkward to talk about your relationship to faith and religion? That being a young man means being told feelings and expressing emotions are okay but not growing up with a healthy example of how? As a South-Asian, Muslim, Male, Second-Generation Immigrant, I understand the need for a safe space to explore your struggles in the full context of who you are.

Inspired by my volunteer work with Naseeha Muslim Youth Helpline, I set out to make a career in creating a safe space for youth, young adults, and their families where they feel accepted and free of judgement as they explore who they are and navigate life’s decisions. I believe that the central pillar for effective therapy is the relationship with the client and so prioritize developing an understanding of your world in order to provide the best possible holistic care. Working with a foundation of CBT, while incorporating skills from DBT, CFT, and MI, I aim to create a personalized experience for each client.

I would be honoured to walk alongside you through this journey of vulnerability and learning with a strength-focused, empathic, creative, and culturally-sensitive approach to therapy. I feel privileged to witness your growth and look forward to meeting you
